Word A Café consists of three individual projects: an intimate, artsy street side café that serves morning coffee and brunch and re-invents itself at night as a live music venue serving small plates and cocktails. The residence above functions as an extension of the café, providing occasional lodging and practice space for visiting musicians. The "back shack" in the backyard is a detached, aluminum clad, functional mini-home with sleeping loft and a full kitchen. The shared back patio serves as private outdoor dining and performance space.
